The Polk City Friends of the Parks is a 501c-3 non-profit that is comprised of twelve board members. Our mission is to make Polk City a place everyone can enjoy, by fundraising money to enhance and grow Polk City's parks, trails, and greenspaces.

Parks, trails and greenspaces continue to see a dramatic increase in use. These spaces improve our physical and psychological health, strengthen our community and boost home equity.

Your property taxes are split into many entities. 27% of your taxes go toward our City, and 3% of that is dedicated to Parks and Recreation. Your additional donations are tax-deductible and help us enhance the parks outside of the City's budget.

Our board actively fundraises to support our non-profit's mission. In the last two years we've donated over $45,000 to Polk City's park systems!  Learn more about our completed projects here.

Our current fundraising efforts will help support the resurfacing of the Miller Park Tennis / Pickleball Court, an Ice Skating Rink at Kiwanis Park,  trail connections and pollinator patches throughout the City!
